Meet Dr. Rosenblatt
Dr. Rosenblatt was born in Wichita Falls, TX at the Sheppard Air Force Base, while his father was serving in the Air Force as a dentist. His family moved to New Jersey the following year, where he grew up on the Jersey shore. After graduating from Ocean Township High School in 1987, he went to Muhlenberg College, a small liberal arts college in Allentown, PA. At that point, he worked for his father as a dental assistant and fell in love with the profession. He graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Dental School in 1997 and was then accepted into a one-year General Practice Residency program at St. Josephs Medical Center in Reading, Pa. He moved to the Chicago area in 1998 and began practicing in downtown Chicago before purchasing Forest North Dental in 2007. The practice has over a 30-year history serving the community as a quality dental office.
In order to provide quality dental care, Dr. Richard Rosenblatt spends many hours a year seeking continuing education to further his dental knowledge. A large part of his practice and his time away from it has been dedicated to CAD/CAM dentistry. CAD/CAM dentistry is a type of digital dentistry that allows him to create restorations such as crowns, veneers, and implants without taking impressions. He uses a specialized camera and computer that can take images of the tooth and digitally create the restoration, usually in one visit, as opposed to the procedures of other, more traditional dentists. He does this using a machine called CEREC.
Dr Rosenblatt created the Northern Illinois CEREC study club, which is one of the largest CAD/CAM study clubs in the USA. He is a software beta tester and a certified speaker for Sirona Dental Systems, the company that created the CEREC system. He is also a CEREC basic trainer and educates other dentists and doctors in the proper use of the technology for their own offices. He is faculty on the cerecdoctors.com website and at the prestigious Scottsdale Center for Dentistry in the CAD/CAM division, teaching doctors from around the world to use this exciting technology.
When Dr. Rosenblatt is not working or teaching, he spends his time with his wife and 3 children. They enjoy spending lots of time together and their favorite past time is skiing. Dr Rosenblatt also enjoys getting out on the golf course from time to time. Stop by and visit Dr. Rosenblatt and his great staff who are sure to make you SMILE!
